“While I have experienced a call from God into ministry, my deeper passion is bringing a community of people together to work toward a common vision so that their God-given purpose can be fulfilled.”

After successfully serving “turnaround” churches in rural and county seat communities for twelve years, Don founded a new United Methodist Church in the Dallas area. In eight years, he guided this new church from zero to over 1,600 people.

In 2004 Don joined Griffith Coaching and serves in these areas:

  • a “ministry coach” to dozens of church planters in differing denominations
  • a “ministry strategist” to those in a judicatory capacity, with particular emphasis on the United Methodist Church
  • a “ministry assessor” of prospective new church start pastors.
  • a “ministry trainer” for hundreds of church planters
  • a “stewardship consultant” for Capital Campaigns through Horizons Stewardship Company

A 1981 graduate of Southwestern University, Don received his MDiv in 1985 from Perkins School of Theology at SMU.   He currently is under appointment in the North Texas Conference.

Don and his wife, Amy, have two grown children, and reside in the Dallas area (McKinney).
